ArchitectsOfANewDawn.com is the main page or my page there is aoand.com/profile/SteveHoward
Over 20 million members at this site, tons of resources ranging from health and food to what we can all do to help Mother Earth in a million ways. As they say, it's the "world s largest online community for healthy and green living, human rights and animal welfare."

The "International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers" has this to say about their site:
"We represent a global alliance of prayer, education and healing for our Mother Earth, all Her inhabitants, all the children, and for the next seven generations to come.
We are deeply concerned with the unprecedented destruction of our Mother Earth and the destruction of indigenous ways of life. We believe the teachings of our ancestors will light our way through an uncertain future.
We look to further our vision through the realization of projects that protect our diverse cultures: lands, medicines, language and ceremonial ways of prayer and through projects that educate and nurture our children"
Please go there:
The following says on their site: "Building Value is a nonprofit social enterprise that salvages reusable materials for sale to the public. Our efforts help the environment, reduce the cost of disposal, and give architectural gems a second life".
----I say: This place is wonderful, we (Steve and Judy) were there and they have everything from beautiful old woodwork and doors to sinks and light fixtures and ceiling fans and paint and tile and bricks boards and a church pew and mantles and screws and vintage locks and doorknobs and mirrors and toilets and on and on. All that stuff would have been lost and wasted in landfills. Going there and buying stuff saves you money, gives you good materials and products, saves natural resources and helps people. Please check it out, we need to support places like this and teach the next generation how being responsible, thrifty and artistic can go hand in hand.
Great food, good prices and it's all Vegan. But even if you re not Vegan or Vegetarian you'll still love the food. Everyone I know that has gone there no matter what their eating habits are loves the place.
Over 7 and a half million members of Freecycle give away what they don't need for free and if you need anything, just put a wanted post on there and if anyone has one, then you're set. Sign up for free in your local group.
ShareSomeSugar helps you find someone in your neighborhood or group of friends who is willing to lend or rent you something that you need.
WHY BUY WHEN YOU CAN BORROW FROM A NEIGHBOR?
Find a farmers market near you. Supporting local growers and getting food that doesn't have to be shipped so far helps in many ways.
Information of reducing, reusing and recycling
Best Buy takes electronics to recycle for free even if you didn't buy from them
Here's a recycling location search engine! It covers plastics, electronics, paper, glass, metals, automotive, yard waste, household, hazardous and others and it looks like they have articles and videos, but like with anything do a bit of research on your own please.
Sharing common interests and getting to know new people is great. One place with many local groups is:
Hopefully you're leading a happy and healthy life, but if not there are many places you can go for help, one resource is:
A great book to get is "Calling the Circle: The First and Future Culture" by Christina Baldwin.
Please consider getting it. You can find it at various places, but here's a link to Amazon where you can read more about it:

The Hunger Site, Breast Cancer Site, Child Health Site, Literacy Site, Rainforest Site and Animal Rescue Site all raise money for the various causes by "Click Here to Give - it's FREE" buttons, along with selling Fair Trade products, jewelery, clothes etc. There are also resources and petitions.
Please visit and take a little time to check out all the sites.
Use your voice! Contact media and encourage them to report some truth! Here's where you can do that. (Please note, they changed their site and if you had an old link you'll want to update it to this new one)
Their site says: "Welcome to Natural Awakenings’ healthy living community. We are your resource for information about fitness, sustainable living, natural health, creative expression and personal growth".
Their site says: "Vegan Peace is about striving towards peacefully sharing our Earth....website hopes to play a small role in inspiring people to strive towards a more peaceful world. We can all play a part in lessening the suffering so many people and animals go through every day. The problems are big, but that shouldn't discourage us. Every positive change to someone's life, however small, is a step in the right direction. We should never allow ourselves to become either desensitized or to dismiss suffering which is often not in our view. We should never feel that trying to make the world a better place is beyond our reach.
Plant some trees!
The Arbor Day Foundation has many trees all of which are very affordable.
Note: The last time I checked they didn't list which are native to your area,
I would advise only getting trees native to your area, but they have much info
INCLUDING NOT TO PUT SO MUCH MULCH AROUND YOUR TREES AND
MULCH SHOULD NOT TOUCH THE TRUNK OF THE TREE!
Half burrying the trees with mulch only helps the people selling you mulch make a big profit,
it hurts the trees. Plus most mulch now comes from trees chopped down to make mulch,
we are deforesting to make mulch which people overuse which causes sick and dead trees.
Please go there, pick some out and plant them.
From their site: "We’re all somewhere on our own path. We all aspire to do the right thing
to protect the earth and the animals that inhabit it. Free from Harm is your online hub
to empower you with the best information, tools and resources to guide you on that path".
More Vegan info and goodness!

IJPC (Intercommunity Justice and Peace Center) educates and advocates for peace, challenges unjust local, national, and global systems, and promotes the creation of a non-violent society. The Mission of Save Our Strays is to eliminate the overpopulation of stray and feral cats through spay and neuter efforts. Secondarily, to assist with finding loving homes for adoptable animals. They also have some helpful links for dogs. Thanks.
Read a book. Use the library, it has more books than you could read in several lifetimes and saves trees as we don't all need to buy every book we read, right? Plus they have dvds and meeting rooms and librarians
stand up for free speech rights for us all, so get to know them:
The book "Guerrilla Gardening: A Manualfesto" by David Tracey is one of the books about guerilla gardening (which is basically just the idea of changing areas with nothing growing into areas with something growing)...but there is much more to it and there are a number of books and sites about it and this looks to be a fairly comprehensive work on the beneficial (and fun) decision to see something that can be better and making it better. I haven't read this particular one but it looks worth checking out or do some research on your own and DO something, don't just think about it, but do it.
If you go to this page of the Veterans for Peace site and scroll down you will find many resources for veterans and military personel, anywhere from counciling to legal help and advice if you choose not to fight or follow orders.

We can't be happy and work on a better world if we are facing problems we think we need to face alone and to that end I am listing these 2 links. Found an injured or abandoned wild animal or bird? Find someone who knows and is not just guessing! Don't give up trying, the animals count on us to try.
This is what the site says:

Use this information to learn about solar energy and start your project. You will find basic information about solar energy and links to do further research if you want to learn more about energy and solar power.
and here's a search I did, or you can search on your own. Remember, you don't need to do it all at once and even if you don't do any, the info is good as you can help others. As always use multiple sources and remember the coal and gas industries don't want you to stop giving them your money so you may find info out there that says it's not worth going solar. Consider the source.
Mainstream media isn't always "fair and balanced" and often nor are they even reporting what should be reported at all, some of that is because we don't contact them enough. Here is where you can do that. NOTE! This is a new link, they redid their site and the old link doesn't go to the media list, update your bookmarks and any places you shared the link.
The political system in the United States has deteriorated into where many in office are not serving the people and their greed and shortsightedness is destroying lives, our rights and our planet. Supporting some of the independant candidates will help. If we stand for our beliefs things can change. I personally believe the Green Party is where one can find the best choice. Please be informed and stand for your beliefs!
Cruelty Free Companies, Compassionate Shopping Guide. You've seen the little bunny logo on some products, go to this site and learn about it.

2) "The World Peace Diet" by Dr Will Tuttle
I have not yet watched all of the movie "Forks Over Knives" which you can get on DVD at the library or ordering it but what I have had a chance to watch so far is very good. Here's the site connected to the movie, I haven't had a chance to check that out fully yet, but I'd say it's worth your while.
Bees need your help. Bees are vital to life on our planet.
All the wild flowers you see around you are there because of bees. Much of the food on your plate is there - directly or indirectly - because of bees. They do a lot for us. Now it's time to help them. We are an international network of beekeepers, scientists, gardeners and people who are just interested in bees. We are working in many different ways to make things better for bees and for other life on Earth and we would like you to join us.
Lots of info on Bees, beekeeping, helping bees, pesticieds, how you can help protect bees (if you eat food, you have to care as unless our food is pollinated, we don't eat)
Paul McCartney says of this next site: "The planet is under pressure and our choices have never been more important. The Food Revolution Summit is an informative and empowering platform which highlights ways to set a new pattern for the future of the planet."
This can help you talk to children about eating vegan options to other foods and why it is important...
